This list is not a comprehensive list, but rather a starting point of potential ideas and places to serve.
Bethany Christian Services
Bethany Christian Services is a global nonprofit organization that brings families together and keeps families together. Strengthening families for the well-being of children is our top priority. Our services include adoption, foster care, and pregnancy counseling. We also provide counseling to families, assist refugees and immigrants resettling in the U.S., and partner with several international countries to help keep families together. The work we do equips families to be the answer for children in need—as Christ intended.
IBCD (The Institute for Biblical Counseling & Discipleship) exists to serve churches, organizations and individuals who share a passion to see believers equipped to counsel one another through life’s struggles with the Word of God. We do this by offering training through our Care & Discipleship Program, as well as offering events and free resources that are helpful to anyone interested in learning how to better help others.
Boys and Girls Club
Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We strive to provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who enters our doors, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
Global Maritime Ministries
Global Maritime Ministries exists to provide holistic Christian ministry by meeting the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of seafarers and maritime workers. We have the privilege of coming in contact with seafarers from around the world. Many of these people are from countries where missionaries are not allowed to go. We have the opportunity to share with them the love of Christ and to give them God’s word in their heart language. As they hear the Gospel message, they are able to take it back to their families and friends.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization working in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in approximately 70 countries. Habitat’s vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Habitat works toward our vision by building strength, stability and self-reliance in partnership with families in need of decent and affordable housing.
One More Child
Our mission is to provide Christ-centered services to children and families in need. Whether it’s providing clean diapers to a newborn baby, food for a hungry child, safety for an abused child, or foster or adoptive homes to children in crisis, we work to share with children who have been abused, neglected and abandoned the protective and healing love of Jesus.
Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Our mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S.
Ronald McDonald House
The mission of RMHC is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. Our vision is to see a world where all children have access to medical care, and their families are supported and actively involved in their children’s care. Our Houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child. Families are stronger when they are together, which helps in the healing process.
Teen Challenge International
Our vision is freeing all people from life-controlling issues through the power of Jesus Christ! We want to provide you and your loved ones with hope for a new drug-free future through the power of Jesus. Through education, we provide curriculum for students and training tools so they can learn dependence on God. Our programs foster role clarity and place tools in their hands to learn a new way of living.
